Unique with 5 Speed Tremec gearbox installed by David Marks, Jaguar guru,at cost of £17000.

1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible 5.3 litre V12

47k miles, MOT until July 2024, I have owned this since 2016 and I have cherished and pampered it, I have spent £1000s in the last six years on maintenance and improvements. The car is dry stored over the Winter periods and used only during spring and Summers for high days and holidays.

Electric adjustable and heated leather seats. Electric roof including tonneau cover and storage bag. Electric windows and mirrors. Factory alarm and immobiliser. Air conditioning. 1990 3.6 XJS

£7500 Spent on suspension and new streering rack air con and new fuel tank by Trevor Farrington Knutsford.

£2000 spent on respray few masks could do with another buff.

£900 on new elm ski slope door caps and dash mot last week no adv.

Also service dash reads 140000 miles but had used clocks fitted 2 years ago going on mots should be 80000 miles all work carried out in the last 6 months

1x Jaguar XJS Bonnet free for collection.

Originally purchased to for a project car about 10 years ago, but not needed as that car was too far gone. Condition is Ok but will require work. No liner and was rubber down a primmed on the A surface by previous owner. Although stored in a dry garage there is some very small amounts of surface rust.

I believe its part number CBP 303 for a straight 6 engined cars, ( slight bulge)

I am looking to sell my 1991 XJ-S.

It is a Japanese import and has only done around 31K miles. The speedo has been changed for a Miles unit but I have the original Japanese unit with 50042Km on.

The car is in excellent condition with a new MOT. (Passed first time with no advisories)

Had purchased it with the intention of visiting shows but now full time carer so that’s out.

The car is totally solid and sealed underneath (no salt on Japanese roads)

1989 XJ-S V12 Convertible, Solent Blue with Saville Grey interior. Excellent condition. Owned for 16 years, third owner. Current mileage 61,149. Kept in a heated garage under a tailored cover and resting on tyre cushions. Regularly serviced by Swallows and had improvements by KWE. Full history during my ownership (and before) includes re-built suspension in 2010, stainless exhaust, refurbished injectors (2016), R134a cooling and new compressor 2018. 1992 XJS Chasseur 310 4.0 Manual for sale

Possibly the only 6 cylinder one left (or the only 4.0 Completed) by Chasseur in 1992 - its the press car (or at least the one in the Magazine ads) - previously featured in XJS Club Magazine.

Chasseur upgrades include : Weber throttle bodies, head and ecu work to give approx 310HP, modified exhaust (not too loud but does pop on overrun), uprated suspension and big front AP brakes, short shift. quick rack, subtle bodykit. Car was on 9 and 8 inch wide 17 inch Racing Dynamics wheels but only one of the front wheels came with it (tracked down supplier in Germany - approx €1300 delivered for two matching front wheels which would need boring out slightly for Jag hubs). Currently on E39 BMW M5 Staggered 17 inch wheels (inc spare) with almost new Continental 265/35 rear tyres (these wheels are quite sought after so could be used to part fund new Racing Dynamics wheels).

Otherwise its a well looked after and (almost) rust free XJS - currently booked in for c £1500 work to bring bodywork up to scratch. Worst bits are OSR lower arch rusted but new panel being fitted and a rust hole under the bonnet, bonnet will be aligned properly as it sits a bit proud at rear when locked shut.

Prior to my ownership in 2022 the car was extensively recommissioned as it had been in a collection for a few years, there is an invoice for £4,100 for pre mot work in 2022, I understand the engine was also worked on last year but I cant prove that although I may still have the number of the chap who did it. I have also had the gearbox mounting replaced and some electrical work done to get interior lights and windows working.The car has done just over 80,000 miles - the odometer stopped working in July and I've sourced a replacement unit that needs resetting to the correct mileage (might be done when bodywork is being done).

I've done about 2,000 trouble free miles in it, MOT expires July 2024 (advisory free mot).Most electrics work inc seats, windows, interior and boot lights. No battery drain when left for a month so starts first time after being left for a while. Headlining replaced prior to my ownership.

Faults, not many. Central locking sometimes only locks from passenger side (think that side's mechanism is a bit sticky), unlocks fine from both sides. No radio (not got round to fitting one partly due to engine and exhaust symphony!), fuel gauge sender and relay replaced, gauge a bit inaccurate with old dials but does seem ok with replacement ones, low fuel light comes on and goes off with handbrake at moment! Electric mirrors have never worked, replaced switch but haven't looked further. Some stone chips but these should be sorted at bodyshop - albeit round here you get a new one each journey.

Had my fun, fallen back in love with my Stag now its behaving, thinking of buying a camper!

So, price? Its a bit of an enigma but always gets good comments especially when clean (sorry re a couple of photos, it gets used!). The last Chasseur XJ6s that sold at Auction went for c £20K (about 3 times what their standard counterparts were worth), I think thats not the case here but I think for its rarity and condition I'm looking at £16,000 from a Club member with bodywork done as noted (CCA offered to Auction it with a £20K reserve but that would cost me over £1K in fees). Sorry no PXs (albeit I always say that!).

A great opportunity to purchase this beautiful Jaguar 3.6 XJ-S. Sold as seen, it has the prestigious, and sought after numberplate G7 XJS. Made in 1989 the car has only 84000 miles on the clock and is in its original form with no unofficial parts.

Currently the car does not have an MOT and requires a number repairs to make it roadworthy once more. Having said that, the engine is in superb condition and drives. As you can see from the pictures, it is striking in its appearance and is an opportunity not to be missed. The car is Red and has not been altered from new.

The spare tyre is in excellent condition and the interior superb for its year with only a few expected age related marks.

We are looking for £11,500 ovno - The price is related to the work needed to pass an MOT such as service break efficiency, headlamp aim too high and some structural corrosion - all perfectly fixable to make this beautiful car the star of the show once more. The engine hasn't run for 15 years, we have owned the car for 20 years, there is a full service history and mot's, last mot 20 years ago, no oil leaks, serviced by Appleyards of Bradford at the time. Used as a family car and to go to work in.

2 new wings fitted when purchased, the only rust issues were in the rear wheel arch areas. No holes anywhere other than the above mentioned, all the diff, and running gear removed, the main diff frame still original, just requires blasting and painting, last taken to Bridlington for a good run out, no problems with any power.

I have attached a photo of the interior as it was before I started stripping the car down. I fully appreciate that the car is a project for someone, the only welding that is required are both the inner and outer rear wheel arch panels on both sides of the car.

I do not want to sell it as separate items, it has history and needs a good home.

I have decided to sell my 93 4.0l convertible. She has only covered 65000 miles. When I brought her she had been in storage for over 20years which is shown on the DVLA MOT check web site as not been MOTd since the system went electronic. The tax disc also show 2001 as last taxed. I have sympathetically re commisioned her including full service, new tyres and brakes, wheels restored, replacement headlining etc. I submitted her for MOT last month and she sailed straight through. She has been undersealed at some point in the past which has obviously helped. These are appreciating in value and a great enjoyable investment.
