Nice sunny day in June, just collected new car. Only went to the dentists and went home having paid a deposit three days before. Like driving a new car only 24000 miles. Great new forum. Happy new year to all Dean.
Purchased a 1991 XJS Classic convertible 5.3. Purchase goal was Black exterior model between 88 and 91, before the back seats and with the 4 round headlights, attracted to Dayton spoke wheels and classic Nardi wooden steering wheel. Believe the lines on this vehicle are a perfect blend of sport and class. Looking forward to scenic drives with my wife.
Hi! I have owned the car since April 2011. Car no 118, it is a very early 4.0 automatic. Remarkably rust free when purchased, it now might need the osr arch looking at but then I am picky! A great car to drive distances in.
I have had my Euro spec 1986 XJ-SC with a 3.6L and manual transmission for just over a year. It only has 88,000 miles but still has a list of "little" things to fix.
My lovely 4.0 1991 facelift.....lovely to look at that is! Still trying to get it driving well.
Where do I start? So it was an illogical impulse buy just before Christmas. £3,300 unseen!
So far I've sorted out the worst problems....i think :)
But now I have cooling system problems! I've never tinkered under anyones hood before so I'm hoping to get lots of advice for a motor engine moron and some pep talks to keep me the owner :) All I'm worried about at the moment is to get it running as an every day cruiser.
Here are my XJSs (don't know if that's grammatically correct). Never realised that these were the car for me while growing up but always seem to of gravitated to them since a kid. I've had the silver one eleven years and have been searching for a black convertible for a long long time.
Hi all,
I've only owned my 1995 XJS since February after being an active member of the Morgan Sports Car Club and owing Morgans since 1978.
My car is ex USA currently on UK plates and undergoing matriculation to French plates as I live in France. Not an easy task with French bureaucracy. Looking forward to loads of adventures once Corona virus lockdown is over !
This is the Wolf. She's from '94 and looks it. The interior is as ratty as the exterior. Occasionally, an electrical item works. The engine bay looks like the JLR parts guys took a dump after a eating a curry made of hoses - that's because she's the proud bearer of the 6.0, the last of the great Jaguar V12s. I see her as the impoverished duchess of a proud nation that no longer exists.
All going to plan, she's about to come off the road and get stripped down to intimate nudity. When she emerges in 6 (well, 24) months, she'll be wearing a custom deep cherry paint job close to Moroccan Red, and she's going to carry the wife and I in style. Please don't shatter my illusions on this. I will blog the resto in due course.
Hit me up if you have a set of 20-spoke wheels you'd like to see rehomed! I'll also make an offer on doeskin front seats, or an entire interior in a light colour that isn't grey.
Good morning, I recently joined after owning my XJS since 2003 following the passing of my father who owned it from 1996. It's 1989 with just under 48K.
Hello, back in the XJS fold having owned one before - it's in the owners' gallery. That was a 4.0 Celebration, but the latest one is a 3.6 manual - which needs some bodywork work and paint. It'll be interesting to see how D486 DWK turns out.
Hi All, not a 'new' member per se, but first time on the forum! Currently have a 6.0 V12 (pictured) in the UK, plus two 4.0s that need bringing home from the US, one of which started my membership here. Had two other XJ-S, a 1990 then an '88, both V12, the latter of which I'm trying to re-locate. If anyone knows the whereabouts of E871 HNR, I'd be pleased to hear from you.

Just purchased and had registered my 1988 XJS V12 Coupe. Magic car.
Hello, I've been here a while, but I'm separated from my XJ-S so haven't posted. The car's in Streatham and I've moved to Herefordshire.
Can anyone here get in contact with John Ladd of Ladd and Glen Jaguar Specialists?
I hope he is well, I have lost touch with him and I know his health was not good.
If you can, please pass on my contact details from my profile
