I'm just advising members of problems I've encountered with Lancaster Insurance. My car was damaged recently, by falling masonry. Despite fully comprehensive insurance with Lancaster I have not claimed. This is because Lancaster were obstructive in understanding the cost of the loss of my no-claims bonus and the likely impact on my premium. I had to pay for bodywork and repainting from my own pocket, despite the comprehensive cover. As a result I intend not to renew my policy with Lancaster. If you are with Lancaster and unsure about how a future claim might be handled, you might want to speak with them in advance. I hope this is helpful.
