For those who don't know me, I have a 1992 XJS 4.0 that I have been restoring for about 2 years now (though it started out with a lot of drama, thankfully it has all calmed down now).
So in terms of issues, I believe the engine runs relatively well that I can "ignore it" until later, so the main issues will classically arise in rust. So I am in the process of trying to take both wings off (which means learning new skills all the time!) - one was straight forward and the other is throwing all kinds of issues at me. After that, I'll assess the situation but I hope to refurbish the quite tired rear suspension. Then, the only issues left will be to sort out rust, replace a section of the exhaust, and the ABS system (as far I know). Piece of cake, right? :P
Ahh well, it's all good fun and one day I'll be the happiest man alive to drive her so it'll all be worth it.
